Theme: How Can We Make the Internet Accessible for Everyone?

Prior to the OneWebDay Celebration, PIUS Inc is proud to launch a blogging competition in order to encourage discourses and discussions on the role of information technology and the internet in our society, bearing in mind the challenges that the Philippines faces today.

All Filipino Bloggers are invited to join 2Blog+2Act: A Blogging Competition and write a blog post on the topic, How Can We Make the Internet Accessible for Everyone?

The blog should have clear idea/proposal and with strong opening and closing statements. Since the Competition also hopes to motivate people to act, the piece should have strong appeal to encourage readers or concerned sectors to do something to make internet accessible for everyone.

How to Participate

1. Sign up to be a member of the Philippine Internet Users’ Society.
2. Express your ideas and opinion on the 2Blog+2Act: A Blogging Competition topic "How Can We Make the Internet Accessible for Everyone?" in your blog or website. You can write up to 2,000 words.
3. Copy-and-paste your competition blog entry from your original blog or website to this site (go to 2Blog+2Act Blog Entries under PIUS Community) on or before by midnight of September 15, 2009. You can do this by pressing "Write New Entry" and saving your blog under "2Blog+2Act Blog Entries" category.
   
4. Please don't forget to give your fullname and (original) blog or website url at the end of your blog competition entry.
5. Copy the OWD Blogging Competition e-badge which can be found below this page and post it on your blog competition entry, linking it back to your entry in this site.
6. Below the e-badge copy the Blog Hope code below and link it to your post entry in your blog so that others can read about your official blog entry.
7. Invite your friends /readers to read your blog competition entry and post their comments (they need to register first before they can post their comments) as the evaluation of comments will comprise 30% of the criteria for selection of winning entry.  Please do not use any form of auto-clicking/auto-posting as this will automatically qualify your blog as an official entry.
8. Join & paricipate in the Bloggers Unite Discussion Group so you can get regular updates about the competition.

Eligibility and Language

The 2Blog+2Act Competition (“Competition”) is open to Filipino citizens who are residents of the Philippines or any country, who are at least fifteen (15) years of age at the time of this publication, and who have been maintaining blogs as of January 1, 2009. You may write in English or in Filipino.
