Does the Bible really too new for the world? It is said in the Bible that “So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; from David to the deportation to Babylon, fourteen generations; and from the deportation to Babylon to the Messiah, fourteen generations” (Matt. 1:17) and Adam to Abraham generations, even though not mentioned, would not be as many as generations from Abraham to Jesus. So when we count the number of years from Adam to Jesus it would possibly not make a million years even we add the 2000 years after Christ. The man who lived the longest period was Methuselah who lived for 969 years (Gen. 5: 21-27). And if we multiply such number of years to every generation from Adam, it would still not reach a million years otherwise the years they knew before is different from the years we perceive at present.
